Rotator cuff rehab – Registration

rotator cuff manual releaseEver had rotator cuff issues? Have them right now?

This static playlist in the virtual studio may be just what you need. When done with some consistency, these exercises act as great prehab and rehab for rotator cuff muscles.

The rotator cuff muscles could use a bit of extra care for most of us – they really do so much! Not only being important drivers of certain actions themselves, but also they play the critical role of keeping the humeral head (the upper arm bone articular surface) in a relatively central position on the glenoid fossa (feature of the shoulder blade). So when they’re not working optimally, we are often experience restricted range of motion, sometimes some discomfort with certain movements, and we’re also at greater risk of shoulder injury.

shoulder loadingGive them a try. Do them a couple of times this week and let me know how you go – how it feels. For me personally, these practices are the perfect maintenance after I dislocated my shoulder over 10 years ago. And if I don’t do these for a while, my shoulder starts to get a little upset.
